WE CAN HELP

We have been producing compliant (to BS 5839 - pt1) useful zone plans for hundreds of trade customers for years and have a rounded knowledge of both addressable/conventional systems and auxiliary devices.

We understand that the purpose of a zone chart is to clearly direct the brigade/user to the location of a device activation. This is the main objective, but a zone plan with devices, room names and locations can also greatly reduce the time spent on service visits and help ensure that no devices are missed when testing.

WHAT IS A FIRE ALA...

You know what a fire alarm zone plan is.
I’m interested in why you aren’t selling more of them.

And you should be too.

DO MY CLIENTS NEED A FIRE ALARM ZONE PLAN?

Yes. According to BS5839-1:2017, it is essential for buildings to have a fire alarm zone plan next to every fire alarm panel (CIE).

WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME?

The British Standard states, all zone plans must be a diagrammatic representation of the building clearly showing the division into fire alarm zones, final exits, common escape routes, circulation areas and stairs. You must indicate where the (CIE) is along with a ‘You Are Here’ point so the user can locate where they are in relation to the zone in alarm.

The zone plan should also be in the correct orientation of the building. For example, if when you enter the building and the CIE is on the wall to your left then the zone plan should be orientated to show the entrance door to the left of you as you are facing the CIE after turning 90 degrees.

We frequently get supplied hand-drawn images as well as pdf or CAD files. We are yet to find something we cannot work with. Please feel free to email what you have to info@zcuk.biz and we will be happy to advise you.

A customised fire alarm zone plan from Zone Charts UK will add value, increase your profit on every one

of your sites and ensure compliance is met.

I’ve lost count of the number of fire alarm companies that pride themselves on ‘attention to detail’ and being ‘high quality’ yet when visiting their sites, an upside down, unbranded zone plan or no zone plan at all is next to the panel.

If you use a third party zone plan provider or do them in house - well done. We would love to hear from you to see if we can add anything. If you don’t supply zone plans at all - you’re missing out on profit and we would also love to hear from you to discuss how we can work together to ensure that you’re better off.
